Siprasvili, Tamara

Tamara Siprashvili (born Tamil Siprashvili, born 1963 (1963), Tbilisi) is a Georgian-American pianist.

Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (1985) in the class of Mikhail Voskresensky, in the same year she became the winner of the Robert Schuman International Competition. In 1990, participating in the International Pianists Competition in Leeds, met with American pianist Mark Anderson, in 1993 married him; until 1997, the couple lived in London, then moved to the city of Pleasanton in California. From 1994 until the divorce in 2009, Siprashvili and Anderson acted as a piano duet, recording, in particular, Modest Moussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Igor Stravinsky's Sacred Spring in transcriptions for two pianos.
